If you’re throwing a Halloween party, make sure to check out these Halloween-themed snacks, desserts, and cocktails. Spend less time in the kitchen preparing for the party, and more time watching scary movies! But let's be honest – if you're not making weird and creepy foods on October 31st, are you even celebrating Halloween?!
What is the most popular Halloween food?
Unsurprisingly, the most popular Halloween food is candy. Just straight-up Halloween candy.
However, I would put my money on the second most popular Halloween food to be anything that's made to look creepy, spooky, or gross.
Almost like the more disgusting it looks, the more appropriate it is for your Halloween party!
But honestly, some of these Halloween party recipes are friggin' adorable. Cute Halloween party food is more my jam.
What kind of food should I serve at a Halloween party?
Everyone is going to be hopped up on sugar if they go trick or treating, so you can try to balance it out with some healthier options and savory snacks.
You can also go all in on the sweets and have a smorgasbord of Halloween-themed desserts, and just know what you're signing yourself up for ;)
Just remember to make everything ghosts, mummies, witches, spiders, graveyards, and creepy crawlies!
Halloween doesn't have to be just Skittles and snack-size candy bars (or full-size bars, if you have generous neighbors). Have some fun with it! Save the tricks for trick or treating and serve up some Halloween treats. These are some of my all-time favorite easy Halloween dessert recipes:
Pumpkin spice rice krispie treats are ooey gooey, soft brown butter rice krispie treats that have a subtle pumpkin spice flavor (but can be stronger if you want it to be). Add some chocolate spiders or white chocolate ghosts for the cutest and spookiest Halloween rice krispie treats!
These cute little Halloween Mummy Pretzels are a quick and easy Halloween treat. They’re covered in white chocolate and decorated with an extra chocolate drizzle and candy eyes to look like mummies. It's definitely a good idea to put out some savory Halloween snacks to help balance that inevitable sugar crash from the trick-or-treat winnings! You don't have to forfeit the Halloween-themed foods, as proven by these awesome recipes below:
These bacon-wrapped Mummy Meatballs are fun and delicious Halloween appetizers and party snacks. They’re made with frozen meatballs, strips of bacon, and cute little candy eyeballs. I couldn't possibly close out this list without having a well-deserved section for Halloween cocktails! Whether you're mixing up a witches' brew or sipping on a spooky sangria, the adults should get to enjoy a Halloween drink to close out All Hallows Eve when you've turned off that porch light and turned on your favorite scary movie:
