Ramen "Spaghetti" Bake

A cheesy, meaty, family-sized casserole featuring a surprise ingredient - ramen!

Servings 9 to 12 servings
- 3 packages of ramen, flavor packets discarded
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ¼ onion, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 lb ground turkey
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 ½ cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1-24 oz can spaghetti sauce
- 1 teaspoon basil, chopped
- 2-3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Chopped parsley, optional as garnish
Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray and set aside.
Boil ramen according to package directions, drain and layer in baking dish.
In a large skillet over medium heat, add oil and sauté onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes.
Add ground turkey and heat until browned and cooked through. Salt and pepper to taste.
Add mushrooms, sauce and basil. Heat until the sauce starts to bubble.
Add the sauce mix in an even layer on top of the ramen in the baking dish. Top with cheese and parsley, and cover with aluminum foil.
Bake for 45 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes until the cheese on top is bubbling and starting to brown.
Let sit for 5 minutes before cutting and then serve. Enjoy!
