In a chilled bowl, combine mascarpone cheese and heavy cream and use a hand or stand mixer to mix on a low setting until mostly combined.

Add cake mix and slowly increase speed to high and whip until stiff peaks form – it may take a little while, so be patient! Add Guinness and whip until medium peaks form.

Taste and add powdered sugar 1 tablespoon at a time if you'd prefer it a bit sweeter, whipping after each addition. Enjoy!
