Apple Cherry Smoothie Bowl

Dark cherries are paired with sweet apple for a smoothie that's refreshing and filling - the perfect breakfast choice that's easy to make and customize! Gluten free, dairy free, paleo and vegan.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Autumn Glory Apple, cored and sliced
  • 1 cup frozen dark sweet cherries
  • ½ cup apple juice, cherry juice or water
  • ½ banana, frozen*
  • ¼ cup oats or gluten free oats, optional*
  • 2-3 ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions
 

  • In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients and pulse until combined and mostly smooth.
  • Top with ingredients of your choice! I like ½ a sliced Autumn Glory Apple, homemade granola, sliced almonds and a combination of sliced golden and dark cherries. Enjoy!

Notes

*You don't have to include the banana or oatmeal, this just gives it some extra bulk and texture. Should you choose to leave them out, you can simply pour into a glass and drink!
