Dark cherries are paired with sweet apple for a smoothie that's refreshing and filling - the perfect breakfast choice that's easy to make and customize! Gluten free, dairy free, paleo and vegan.
In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients and pulse until combined and mostly smooth.
1 Autumn Glory Apple, 1 cup frozen dark sweet cherries, 1/2 cup apple juice, 1/2 banana, 1/4 cup oats or gluten free oats, 2-3 ice cubes, 1 teaspoon chia seeds, 1 teaspoon almond extract
Top with ingredients of your choice! I like 1/2 a sliced Autumn Glory Apple, homemade granola, sliced almonds and a combination of sliced golden and dark cherries. Enjoy!
Notes
*You don't have to include the banana or oatmeal, this just gives it some extra bulk and texture. Should you choose to leave them out, you can simply pour into a glass and drink!
