Tiramisu Recipe for Two

by Stress Baking

dessert RECIPES

A classic tiramisu recipe, but made just for two people! Espresso and liqueur-soaked ladyfingers are layered with creamy whipped mascarpone custard and grated chocolate, and topped with a dusting of cocoa powder. Perfect for Valentine's Day!

Just for two

In a medium bowl, use a hand mixer to beat egg whites to stiff peaks. Set aside.

step 1

In a large bowl, beat together egg yolks and sugar together until combined.

step 2

Add mascarpone and beat again to combine.

step 3

Fold egg whites into egg yolk mixture until just combined and no white streaks remain.

step 4

See? No streaks!

step 5

Arrange one ladyfinger that’s been sliced into 3 pieces in a single layer in the bottom of trifle dish. Pour 1 tablespoon liqueur over ladyfingers, followed by 1 tablespoon espresso.

step 6

Cover the ladyfingers with ⅓ of the custard mixture.

step 7

Add ½ tablespoon grated chocolate. Then add ½ tablespoon cocoa/espresso powder mixture.

step 8

Repeat this process two more times to form three layers of each mixture.

Step 9

I highly recommend piping on dollops of my mascarpone whipped cream – you’ve already got the mascarpone out, so why not?

step 10

Finish with a light layer of cocoa powder. Serve and enjoy!
