Thanks to Moo.com, Stress Baking is “real” now. I placed an order of their Luxe MiniCards that arrived in less than a week – which is awesome. They made of four layers of Mohawk Superfine paper, so they’re nice and thick which gives them a more professional feel.
I also ordered their Felt MiniCard Holder in Turquoise (it looks more blue in these pictures because of the poor lighting, but it’s true to the color on their site) which seems to hold around 15 cards. It doesn’t hold many, but it’s not like I’m going to be passing these out to so many people on a daily basis that I need an overflowing basket to contain them all. It’s small and fits perfectly in a little pocket in my purse. The cards stay safe and undamaged, and I have a new colorful accessory (bonus!).
A friend of mine was helping bounce ideas off of me when I was still brainstorming the new direction of my blog, and she threw out a tagline that stuck with me – “eat all the things”. I considered changing it to “bake all the things”, but sometimes I’m not baking and I’m just cooking or stirring or something… so the lack of consistency would bother me and I would feel like I’m living a lie. And I really don’t want to sit on a throne of lies – I have enough problems.
I knew I wanted to stick with magenta, grey, yellow and turquoise as the colors to be incorporated into the cards, but it took me a while to realize I wanted to keep it really simple. White background, colored text, plenty of whitespace. I really like the way they turned out, and maybe you’ll be lucky enough to receive one of these in the mail. How, you ask? Well – I may or may not have something in the works that may or may not result in a contest with a prize pack from yours truly. Maybe. Or maybe not. I guess you’ll have to wait and find out.
