High Five for Friday

Happy Friday!
What was the deal with this week? It seemed like it was never ending and Friday was arriving at the speed of molasses. Did anyone else feel this way? Maybe it’s just because I couldn’t be with my pup and it makes the days drag on until I can go home and see her.

I mean, who wouldn’t want to go home to see this face?

Without further ado, my High Five for this Friday!
1) I took Tuesday off to take care of some personal stuff and used that opportunity to stop by my office (again) so that the people that missed her last week could say hi. It was actually pretty cute – we crashed a meeting and she got to Skype with our west coast staff. Needless to say, no one was all that upset about the distraction.
Mom – let’s GO. We have people to see!

2) One of the things I accomplished on Tuesday was getting my first pair of glasses. While I’m not having a great time with these since I’m still getting used to them (feeling sick, having a hard time focusing, headaches, etc.), this still classifies as a “high” because it’s going to help me out in the long run. You know, seeing and stuff. Minor detail. A friend of mine also helped start an online campaign-type-project to boost my spirits (and the spirits of anyone who cares to participate!).

3) I finally got back in the kitchen this week after about two weeks of being down with the flu (at least I think it was the flu – it kicked my ass either way) and developing a routine with the pup. She loves to supervise my activity to ensure I don’t do something silly, like make something that isn’t for her.

4) The boyfriend made the most adorable “bling” for Penny.

5) I ordered and received a Clarisonic Mia and so far I’m in love with it. My skin is so soft and feels so clean after I use it – it’s awesome. I’ll create a post about it after I experiment with it a little bit more.

    Hey Leslie,

I am new to blogging and this is my first time contributing to the H54F. I have a Clarisonic Mia and I LOVE it! I use it with Philosophy Purity face wash. The combo is magic.

Thanks for the comment! I’m so glad to hear you say that because I’m waiting on my delivery of that exact face wash so that I can try that with the Mia. I’ve tried a couple different ones so far this week that I’ve liked, but maybe that one will be the holy grail 🙂
