This week’s high five isn’t much about myself, which is frankly a relief because I’m sick of myself. And this next story isn’t a “high”, but more of a cautionary tale.
I thought that if I didn’t purchase Girl Scout cookies this year, I could consider myself a person that has willpower. And I was doing fine. I even saw Lauren’s Instagram post earlier in the week and didn’t let it sway me. And then I saw Coffee-Mate’s Girl Scout Thin Mint coffee creamer, and figured that would be how I could still get a taste without breaking my own rule.
Well… let me go ahead and prevent you from making the same mistake. It’s not good. It smells just like Thin Mint cookies which was very exciting for my senses, but then I tried it and… well… yeah. Not good. I tried using less the next time, more the time after that… it definitely has nothing to do with the quantity of creamer in the coffee to creamer ratio. It’s just not good. So save yourself the disappointment and just cave and buy the cookies themselves.
1) If you follow my Instagram account, you’ve already seen this. This weekend I took Penny out on the lake and she kept begging me to drag her around on the ice while she held into the leash. We now call this pupskating.
2) Speaking of dogs… my coworker (and friend) has two full-grown Golden Retrievers and is picking up a third (!) Golden Retriever puppy in about a week. The breeder she’s picking her up from posts videos of the litter frequently, and this past week’s video turned out to be the best one which has resulted in what we now call “Pop Up Puppy”. I ended up meme-ing the best part for our friend’s viewing pleasure, but if you want to watch the whole thing the magic happens at around 0:17.
