Penny might be catching on.
The sealed box sat on the table for a couple days before I was able to open it and dig into the goodies we’d received for the month of February. And every time Penny walked past the table it was sitting on, she would sit next to it and sniff the air furiously. I tried like hell to smell what she was smelling, and I got nothin’. But I guess that’s why she’s a dog and I’m not – she’s got super smelling powers.
By the time I opened the box she was all over me, talking to herself, and drooling out of the side of her mouth. I think she knows what that box means. I guess the little drawing on the card inside is pretty accurate, huh?
Anyway – down to business. Here’s what we got this month:
- Wigzi Stuff ‘n Throw Ball
- Wigzi Stuff ‘n Crunch Treats in Cheddar Bacon flavor (not listed on site)
- WAG Bath Wipes
- Superior Farms Lamb Treats
- Twistix Mint Chew
She loves the Wigzi ball with the treats you stuff inside. The only downside is that all she has to do is tip it over once or twice and the treat falls right out. If it got more “stuck” it might be more effective at occupying her time, but either way she likes it. I’ve started sticking a little peanut butter inside and that actually keeps her busier longer. Granted, she makes these ridiculous snarfing noises (that’s right – snarfing) that are incredibly distracting to me – but hey. Whatever makes her happy. I will warn you though – this thing attracts every speck of dust and hair it touches. So just know that it will look disgusting 99% of the time. You can just rinse it off with water and it’s good as new, but yeah…. gross.
The Twistix chew sticks are a hit with her as well – and they really do help with her breath. It takes her longer to get through one of those chews than a normal rawhide, which is always a good thing. She doesn’t seem to want to house the whole thing in one sitting and will walk away from it and come back later after she’s done all sorts of things to make her breath gross – so that’s a plus for her digestive system and my nose since she still hasn’t grown out of the habit of wanting to sleep with her face on my face.
She likes the Superior Farms lamb treats – she doesn’t go completely insane over them, but scarfs it down. That’s really all I can say about those!
And I haven’t used the Wag wipe yet because it’s only a sample of one wipe and I want to save it for a time where her paws are really messy and need a cleaning. Spring is coming, so it won’t be long before she’s covered in mud. As you can tell, I’m really looking forward to it.
So all in all, this month’s box was a hit and everything is still in tact. Can’t wait for March’s BarkBox!
