I’ve decided to challenge myself this month with a weekly plan so that I can get back on a normal posting schedule. If I have a plan, I’m less likely to stand in the middle of my kitchen with all the cabinet doors open, staring into the abyss, trying to come up with a genius idea. And if I’m not staring into the abyss, I’m less likely to give up and lie down in my bathtub shoveling a quart of ice cream in my face with a ladle. So really, it’s a win win situation – you get new posts, and I don’t drown myself in heavy cream and sugar.

I know what you’re thinking: “But, why, Leslie? Why? WHY would you have six packages of ramen on your kitchen table with no additional context?!” Here’s why…
September is going to be the month of Ramen Upgrades and Fun(fetti). Why am I putting those two completely unrelated things together, you ask? Well, money is super tight around the Stress Baking household – so I figure there’s no better time than now to come up with some recipe hacks to upgrade the college student meal staple. You really can’t beat 4/$1! But I would prefer some more substance, and I could certainly do without the sky-high sodium intake. It’s going to be fun to see what I can come up with.
And as for the funfetti… September is my birthday month, so why not celebrate with sprinkles all month? I know someone that would definitely approve of that.
My goal is to create two posts a week: one ramen recipe and one funfetti recipe. Maybe two posts in the same day. Maybe things will get crazy and I’ll combine ramen and sprinkles*. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS, MY FRIENDS.
So hold onto your butts – it’s going to be a crazy month!
